RULES GOVERNING STATE PLAYOFFS AMENDED 9/00

GENERAL RULES:

A. Players throw from the front edge of the throw line.

B. Handicapped Persons in wheel chairs will have the hip positioned behind the from edge of the throw line. Positioning of the wheel chair is immaterial.

C. Players stand on a throw line that is 96 inches horizontally from the face of the board, or 117 inches, measured diagonally from the center of the bull to the front edge of the throw line.

D. It is legal to lean over the throw line.

E. Both feet must be behind the throw line before darts are thrown.

F. Each Player throws a maximum of Three (3) darts per round.

G. A Player is not required to throw all Three (3) darts. A Player mat throw less than Three (3) darts or pass a turn completely during any one of His/Her turns at the board.

H. The Score recorded by the machine is the Score that Player receives. The Player accepts that the machine is always correct.

I. A dart that is thrown after the Throw Dart Light is on and sticks in a segment, but does not score, will be scored manually by the opposing Teams Captain touching the segment in which the dart is stuck, providing that the un-scored dart is called by the Player or any member of either Team (in play only) prior to the Player touching the Player Change Button.

J. If a dart misses the board or is thrown before the Throw Dart Light is in or bounces off the board it will be considered a dart thrown and there will be no re-hrows.

K. Games will be played Four (4) on Four (4), with partners from one Team throwing on Scores One (1) and Three (3) and the opposing Team partners throwing on Scores Two (2) and Four (4). A flip of the coin will decide which Team decides to Shoot on Scores One (1) and Three (3) or Two (2) and Four (4). After the first game, the losing Team of the previous game will have choice until the final game, if necessary, when the Team having choice will again be decided by the flip of a coin.

L. In 01 games the Team that reaches zero (0) first, without being Frozen wins. The Freeze Rule is on if your partners score is higher than your opponents combined score total, then you are Frozen.

Example: Home Team Players #1 and #3. Visitors Team Players #2 and #4.

The dart board reads:
Player #1 50 Player #2 60 Player #3 60 Player #4 55
Player #1 adds the combined scores of His/Hers opponents (Player #2 + Player #4 = 115 total points).Player #1 is able to take the game out since His/Hers partners score is less than the opponents combined score (60 is less than 115).

The dart board reads:
Player #1 50 Player #2 60 Player #3 100 Player #4 30
Player #1 adds the combined scores of His ? hers opponents (Player #2 + Player #4 = 90 total points). Player #1 is Frozen, since His/Her partners score is more than the opponents combined score (100 is more than 90).

M. When all remaining scores on the board are Twenty (20) points or less, there will be a maximum of Three (3) rounds played to determine the winner. If a Player does not take the game out within those Three (3) rounds, the Team with the lowest combined scores wins. The start of the Three(3)
rounds will begin when the last Player gets below Twenty (20) points.

N. Players cannot play in more than One (1) match at a time. Preference must be declared on the State roster before submission to State in case there is a conflict.
