FROM GENERAL LEAGUE RULES OF PLAY AMENDED 9/00
GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:
A.
Players throw from the front of the throw line.
B. Handicapped Persons in a wheel chair will have
the hip positioned behind the front edge of the throw line. positioning of the wheel chair is immaterial.
C.
Players stand on a throw line that is 96 inches Horizontally from the face of the board, or 117 inches measured diagonally
from the center of the bull to the front of the throw line.
D. It is legal to lean over the throw
line.
E. Both feet must be behind the throw line before the darts are thrown.
F.
Each Player throws a maximum of Three (3) darts per round.
G. A Player is not required to throw all
Three (3) darts. A Player may throw less than Three (3) darts or pass a turn completely during ant One (1) of His or Her turns
at the board.
H. The score recorded by the machine is the score that Player receives. The Player
accepts that the machine is always correct.
I. A dart that is thrown after the Throw Dart Light is
on and sticks in a segment, but does not score, will be scored manually by the opposing Player touching the segment in which
the dart is stuck, providing that the unscored dart is called by the Player or any member of either Team (in play only) prior
to the Player touching the Player Change button.
J. If a dart misses the board or is thrown before
the Throw Dart Light is on or bounces off the board it will be considered a dart thrown and there will be no re-throws.
K.
In doubles one Team throws on scores One (1) and Three(3) and the opposing Team will throw on scores Two (2) and Four (4).
L. In 01 games the Team that reaches zero (0) first,without being FROZEN wins. The Freeze Rule is
as follows; If your partners score is higher than your opponents combined scores total, than you are Frozen.
EXAMPLE:
Home Team Players #1 and #3. Visitors Team Players #2 and #4. The dart board reads:
Player #1 50 Player #2 60 Player
#3 60 Player #4 55 Player #1 adds the scores of His or Her opponents (Player #2 + Player #4 = 115 points). Player #1 is
able to take the game out since His or Her partners score is less than the opponents combined score (60 is less than 115).
The dart board reads: Player #1 50 Player #2 60 Player #3 100 Player #4 30 Player #1 adds the scores of His or
Her opponents (Player #2 + Player #4 =90 point). Player #1 is Frozen, since His or Her partners score is more than the opponents
combined score (100 is more than 90).
M. In League play, when all remaining scores on the board are
Twenty (20) points or less, there will be a maximum of Three (3) rounds played to determine the winner. If a player does not
take the game out within those Three (3)rounds, the Team with the lowest combined score wins. The start of the Three (3) rounds
will begin when the last player gets below Twenty (20) points.
N. A match will consist of at least
Fifteen (15) games and not more than Nineteen (19)games. Games won, not matches, will be used to determine League standings.
O. The Order Of Play will be One (1) and Three (3) versus Two (2) and Four (4). The Team listed first
on the Score Sheet in each game will have choice of One (1) and Three (3) or Two (2) and Four (4), with the exception of games
noted as Flip For Choice.
P. If a Team is not able to play on the scheduled night of play, the Team
Captain needing to reschedule must arrange for the reschedule by contacting the opposing Team Captain Twenty Four (24) hours
in advance of the scheduled playing time. All rescheduled matches must be played within Two (2) weeks prior to the end of
the season. There will be no rescheduled matches the last Two (2) weeks of League play.
Q. If during
a match an emergency develops before all games have been played, the match can be completed on a date agreed upon by both
Captains within a Two (2) week time frame. All games that were played before the match was stopped will count. Remember to
use the same Score Sheet when resuming the match.
R. A Captain has the right to request acceptable
picture identification (Drivers License, Military Card, Etc.), and/or a current WSSTDA State Card from any or all playing
members of the opposing Team.
S. In locations with multiple boards, only One (1) board will be used
for competition play by Two (2) Teams. If more than Two (2) Teams are engaging in League play at the same location, Home Team
Captains will flip a coin for board choice.
T. Players will pay for their own games.
U.
No new Players may be added to a Team for the last Five (5) weeks of League play, except in the case of an emergency , which
requires approval by the League Board.
V. A Player is not to exceed Fifteen (15) seconds between
darts and the exchange of Players to the board is not to exceed Thirty (30) seconds.
W. All Players
must be registered on the nights Score Sheet prior to the start of the match to be eligible to play.
X.
Any team that has a Player that has been Eighty-Sixed,or Barred from an opposing Team Location in the League must have a substitute
Player for that match or they may play with less than a full Team Per Rule 8.G. Pg. 3, otherwise they will forfeit the match.
